(26 Jul 2009 ) La persona cooperante trabajará con Solidaridad Fronteriza (en Dajabón, República Dominicana) y Solidarite Fwontalye (en Wanament, Haití) facilitando herramientas metodológicas participativas para seguimiento de un proyecto agroforestal y de seguridad alimentaria, fortaleciendo las organizaciones rurales de base y ONG a ambos lados de la frontera domínico-haitiana. Además apoyará a los equipos técnicos de las contrapartes en temas de equidad de género, agroecología y agroforestería comunitaria, manejo sostenible de los recursos naturales y cambio climático.
Programme Development and Funding Officer, (full-time, two-year contract), salary of USD$2000 per month, based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
(19 Jul 2009 ) We are looking for a highly motivated and resourceful individual with a genuine commitment to development, seeking to work in a cutting edge development agency. The Programme Development and Funding Officer will be responsible for increasing income from new and existing donors and the coordination of grants for Progressio projects in Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti).
S/he will also contribute to programme development, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of existing programmes.
HIV and AIDS Programme Adviser (two-year placement), based in Harare, Zimbabwe
(8 Jul 2009 ) The HIV and AIDS Programme Adviser will provide technical assistance to the National Employment Council for the Transport Operating Industry (NECTOI), building the knowledge and capabilities of staff to develop, improve and increase programme activities concerned with addressing issues surrounding HIV and AIDS, the principle focus of which involves working with Zimbabwean companies and their drivers within the transport operating industry. The Progressio Development Worker (DW) will support the strengthening of NECTOI HIV and AIDS workplace programmes. This will include promoting behavioural change, prevention of HIV transmission, the treatment of HIV and AIDS as well as other opportunistic infections and fighting against stigma and discrimination faced by those living with or affected by the disease. It will also involve expanding current NECTOI programme activities in the transport sector, developing the use of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) for the production and dissemination of information, education and communication materials concerning HIV and AIDS, and assisting NECTOI in gaining access to funding opportunities.
