Want to contribute to tackling injustice around the world? The take action section provides resources and information on campaigns and events: The idea that God calls us to live simply is radical, and in direct contrast to what Western society demands of us - to earn more and more in order to consume on an ever grander scale. The livesimply project, which launches this Advent and runs through 2007, takes up that radical idea. It calls on us to look hard at our lifestyles, and to choose to live simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the poor. >Find out more about livesimply. Timor Leste's Reception, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (CAVR) produced a final report in 2005, 'Chega!', which detailed 102,800 deaths, widespread human rights violations and 50 per cent of families forced into homelessness that occurred as a result of the occupation and withdrawal. In spite of the excellent job done by the CAVR, the report has yet to be seriously addressed, debated, or its recommendations implemented by governments, including our own, and by the UN Security Council itself. >Seek implementation of Timor Leste's CAVR report.
